Coastline Surveys Are Pleased to Announce the Following Appointments

In line with their Strategic plan and in response to the diverse commercial demands of the business, the Coastline head count continues to increase. Coastline Surveys Ltd have carefully selected the following personnel for their expertise and the ability to complement the already strong team, who unite in their respect for the strong position gained from the past twenty years in business whilst maintaining a healthy awareness of latest techniques, technology and practice.

Geotechnical Manager – Paul Smith – Lowestoft
Coastline Surveys are pleased to announce the

appointment of Paul Smith as Geotechnical Manager. Paul has extensive experience in field of senior level project management , specialising in marine Geotechnical Site Investigations and Vessel Operations. His meticulous attention to detail and his client focused approach has enabled him to achieve an outstanding track record in project delivery. Paul is commercially minded and has exceptional technical and management skills which have enabled him to deliver numerous contracts, across all a marine sectors, on time, within budget and to specification. Paul has previously worked for Svitzer/Fugro Survey Ltd, Fugro Alluvial and Seajacks.

Tasked with directing the continued expansion of the Geotechnical Department in Lowestoft, Paul will manage a wide-ranging portfolio of geotechnical survey operations from contract award to final delivery, manage develop and mentor the geotechnical team and optimise operational performance, ensuring that the QHSE culture is maintained to an exceptional standard.

Paul has a successful track record in managing expanding resources and Coastline are delighted with Paul’s appointment. He has fast become a strategic, team member and will be instrumental in maintaining the stability and growth of the Geotechnical Division during this current period of expansion and beyond.

Senior Surveyor – George Fletcher – Falmouth.

Coastline Surveys is delighted to announce the appointment of George Fletcher to their expanding Survey Team. George is a highly motivated conscientious, results oriented, hydrographic surveyor, with a variety of near shore and offshore survey experience. George brings with him a wealth of experience in Positioning, Geophysical, Multibeam and Oceanographic survey techniques as well as sound knowledge of associated equipment and software. George has worked previously for GEMS Survey and EGS as well as providing freelance expertise to a variety of survey companies where he had held Party Chief, Lead Surveyor and Client Liaison roles.

George’s experience, ambition and ‘can do’ attitude reflect that of the Company as a whole, which prides itself on its versatility and determination to deliver beyond expectations. George will prove an excellent role model and mentor to all who follow him and will be instrumental in expanding the department in line with the company’s strategic plan.

Geotechnical Technician – Rob Hill – Lowestoft

Coastline Surveys are pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Hill as Geotechnical Technician. Rob has a diverse background, encompassing Science Engineering and Telecoms, initially in the RAF and later in outside industry, this has provided him with extensive project management expertise. Rob is ideally suited to the role drawing on his strengths, being analytical, practical and creative; he has already introduced innovative improvements to some of the Laboratory processes, enabling Coastline to offer a more efficient and professional service.

Rob is currently operational on MV FlatHolm, he is also proving to be an excellent team player, his example and contributions to Coastline Surveys and the Geotechnical Team will make the Company stronger as it rises to the next level.

Assistant Geologist – Andrew Waterhouse – Lowestoft

Coastline Surveys welcomes Andrew Waterhouse as Assistant Geologist, the latest member of the team, Andrew has recently graduated from Bangor University where he read Applied Marine Geosciences and is keen to improve his knowledge and experience in the field of Geotechnical Engineering. Andrew has settled in well and has proved himself an extremely competent member of the team.
